re: drug legalization
i was talking to a friend about legalization issues, and we arrived at an interesting point. in order to minimize the potentially sky-high medical costs of heroin legalization, the gov could mandate that any costs due to drug-related injuries would be at the user’s expense— no insurance, medicare/aid, or hospital assistance. idk, i think it might be pretty effective in lowering economic strains and making consumers more aware of the financial risks of drug usage.
